Yulia ALIZADE (Yulia Sezen ALIZADE) is a visual artist and short film director. She is a master of gouache painting and well-known contemporary artist in Türkiye. Yulia Sezen ALIZADE was born and raised in Istanbul, in the central district Şişli, into a family of a diplomat father and a doctor mother. She recieved a strong international education in Moscow, Türkiye and The United Kingdom. ALIZADE has exhibited  her works in prestigious galleries and art shows around the world, captivating audiences with her distinctive visual language and creative vision.

She has been interested in art since childhood. Her professional career began in graphic design where she progressed to the position of art director in advertising agency, which she later managed.

Since 2019, ALIZADE started working as an independent visual artist.

In 2020, Yulia Alizade directed the short film 'Seagull'. The film was screened internationally and received multiple awards at film festivals worlwide.

In 2021 she opened her first solo exhibition, Liberta, in Istanbul, wich attracted significant attention within the Turkish art scene.

The same year, she was awarded the titles Best Artist 2021 and Value Artist in Türkiye.

In 2022, Yulia Alizade officially introduced a new art style, Neo-Turquerie, of wich she is the creator. Since then, she has been producing works both in modern symbolism and in the Neo-Turquerie style, using oil and gouache techniques.  A collection in this style was presented at her second solo exhibition in 2023.

Yulia Sezen ALIZADE is not only contemporary visual artist but also a researcher and art educator. She provides art consulting for adult artists in art painting, Art PR, and Marketing, and regularly participates in conferences and international seminars.
